With the experience of overseas protection to diplomats and their families SEA Protective Services (SEA-PS) uses that experience to design, construct, install and monitor a full functional intrusion deterrent system. SEA-PS has completed corporate, government, residential, estate security projects, which included Safe Havens, featuring delay-impenetrable walls and doors.
SEA-PS can provide preventive steps to secure your home from this type of intrusion. Whether it is a silent alarm ( warning is only given to the occupant) audible exterior (warning to the assailant that they have been discovered) or a combination of early warning with delay procedures that will allow the occupant the ability to move to their protected area, SEA-PS has the ability to protect you.
The primary focus of an intrusion detection system (IDS) is to warn and provide occupants of the residence sufficient time to access the Safe Haven, thus avoiding confrontation with an intruder. IDS is a warning system that provides the resident occupant and their loved ones time to access the Safe Haven. The will provide a safe haven for the occupant until protective support arrives. The IDS is designed by SEA-PS to provide that valuable time to avoid contact with the intruder. A secondary protection screen can be introduced by SEA-PS that will force the intruder from the residence once the intruder determines that they do not have access to the resident occupant. SEA-PS has "force-out" technology designed to make the intruders experience within the occupied space intolerable. The protective forces upon arrival will receive an all clear signal to cease the "force out" mechanism, allowing them to proceed into the structure and rescue the residence occupant(s).
SEA-PS designs and builds the Safe Haven to the level of security wanted by the user. An assessment of the needs and protection that the residential occupant desires is made by SEA-PS. A determination of time, distance and ability to respond is calculated into what function the Safe Haven will perform. The SEA-PS Safe Haven© will be designed to achieve the highest levels of security, ambiguous location, quick access and protection duration. The SEA-PS Safe Haven© is constructed with steel reinforcements, ballistic materials and a Forced Entry (FE) Ballistic Resistant (BR) door and frame. The SEA-PS Safe Haven© is equipped with a dedicated AC system, security CCTV monitors, survival supplies, oxygen and backup communications systems.
SEA-PS has many years of experience working with specialized design firms developing and constructing special protective structures. The same experience and construction that has been used in security upgrades to embassies is now available in residential structures.
SEA-PS can also work closely with the client's architect or builder to review designs in order to implement design changes and modifications before construction. This ensures appropriate technical and physical security design features are incorporated to achieve maximum protection.
Intrusion Detection Systems provide an early warning system to the residence occupant. The IDS provides the residence occupant time to gather family, friends or associates and proceed to the Safe Haven. A worst case scenario is that the IDS has set off enough false positives that the residence occupant and others feels it is "another false alarm" and does not heed the warning. SEA-PS is aware of this troublesome problem and in areas where a large community of wild animals roam; false positives can become a problem.
SEA-PS designs the early warning system with a secondary backup. If the intruder or animal trips the first IDS a high pitch sound that will drive the animal from the area. This sound deterrence can be toned to be above the human reception and only affect the animal. If the residence occupant decides that they want to employ a human intruder deterrent the sound can be pitched to warn the intruder of his detection.
The SEA-PS IDS is designed to immediately alert the residence occupants or security personnel of intruders breaching a secured perimeter. This system employs line of site detectors, trip wire technology, infrared beam technology, wireless communication with Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) and optional solar power to secure a perimeter independent of the customer's power supply and telecommunication system. If a facility experiences a power or telecommunication disruption, the perimeter will remain secure. In addition, if an intruder attempts to destroy or remove this system, it will immediately alert security personnel by computer, voice, beeper, hand held radio in order to prevent unauthorized access. The system provides a secure perimeter security protection with independence from phone hardlines or electric utilities.
